Les Arbres, in the beautiful southwest of France, is the home of Jason and Karen. Situated on the edge of the peaceful, unspoilt village of Touffailles, this small complex of holiday gîtes forms an ideal base for relaxation, sight-seeing, cycling, hiking, horse-riding, running, swimming and sun-worshipping – the choice is yours!

Jason is an experienced triathlete, co-organised the Sevenoaks Triathlon 1994-2007 and runs the recently established team Tri-Touffailles. Should you wish, he will be able to advise you on cycle and running routes and/or provide nutritional support for your training through Science in Sport (please pre-order)

Karen is a qualified languages teacher and has a keen interest in and is passionate about French life, culture and of course gastronomy. French lessons are available – from beginner upwards and of any age – with accompanied outings available. We will both endeavour to provide you with any information you need to make the most of your stay.

Les Arbres comprises 4 self-catering gîtes within two 17 th century stone houses – one two storey and one three storey. There is comfortable accommodation for singles, couples or families with the whole site being able to take 10-12 people. Should you require a child’s bed or cot, please enquire.

Our grounds are such that you can relax in/by the pool or enjoy being surrounded by greenery with a view over the village and its church steeple. All our accommodation allows you to cater and eat indoors but should you wish, there are also BBQs and outdoor eating areas.

There is a small épicerie (grocers) less than 5 minutes walk away and the village bakery is visible from Les Arbres so you won’t have far to go to collect some delicious French bread in the mornings.

With regards to the surrounding area, Les Arbres is located in what is described as “un terroir d’exception”; the countryside is graced with rivers, valleys, medieval villages, magnificent markets, areas of historical/cultural interest and of course – gastronomic delights. Each season offers its own beauty and visitors are able to enjoy the different festivals/celebrations centred around the area’s foods, wines, culture and history.

At nearby Montaigu-de-Quercy, there is a beautiful lake, offering family fun, including a white beach, pedalos, mini-golf, waterslides, canoes and lifeguard-supervised swimming. Further family entertainment can also be found at Agen’s Walibi Fun Park and any golf enthusiasts out there will be pleased to know that they can try out their skills on one of the nearby golf courses. If your tastes lie elsewhere, then maybe visit one of the fruit farms, the dried flower farm, the garlic producers or the lavender distillery, to name but a few of the areas’ offerings – and don’t forget the vineyards!
